Semester 2, STARTER #1: 
For the next 10 minutes, write down everything you can remember from our historical content building unit on Japanese Internment camps and the mock trial. Questions to try to answer include:
  • What major events led to Japanese Internment camps?
  • What were the circumstances of internment camps?
  • What constitutional amendments most apply to the case?
  • What is habeas corpus?
  • What is strict scrutiny?
  • Who is Fred Korematsu?
  • What was the president of the US at the time?
  • What were the societal impacts of Internment camps?

Class Biz:
  • 2nd semester honors is open to all students who got a B or higher first semester. We'll meet next Thursday to go over guidelines!
  • Guest speaker tomorrow: Judge Minot to review Jurisprudence and courtroom etiquette

  2. Read Executive Order 9066 and Civilian Exclusion Orders:  Annotate with questions, comments and confusions
  3. Get into teams and begin orienting yourself to your team's requirements and folder contents: Mock Trial Roles
