Today's Goals:  Write BEAUTIFULLY and AUTHENTICALLY but  mostly just get those ideas down on paper! You can come back and refine refine refine later.

But if you're particularly amped, maybe like these guys!
Starter # 38
  • First, let's look at this AWESOME list of 60 synonyms for the verb "walk"
  • Second, let's be in awe of the English language and the beauty of words and our shared passion for synonyms and thesauruses.  
  • Third, find a verb in your own sense of place writing that just is sort of boring and does not create the most precise or vivid image for the reader.  You know you have 'em.  It's ok. We're all just beginners on this journey called life.  
  • Fourth, now that you've found that sucker, look up synonyms (or think of them in your own brilliant mind) and write a list of AT LEAST 10 synonyms that are more precise/vivid/interesting/unique.

  • Exhibition next week:  You'll need to read your Happiness and Meaning writing (or an excerpt if it is super long) OR you COULD chose to read your Sense of Place piece.  Either way, you need a DIGITAL visual aid to have on the projector behind you.  It'll be sort of like Lori's poetry house but a bit different.  SO, I need your digital image via email by TUESDAY, 5/10.  
  • From Senior Savvy: "As a part of my Senior Project I have trained my dog to be Therapy Dog, and I would like to offer my services of support to your students next week 5/9/16-5/12/16. if you could kindly place this link in your DP's, or write the link on the board and let your students know that I am offering this support to them, that would be awesome. I would also like to come in on Wednesday Afternoon and Thursday Day and get them hyped up on the support of a therapy dog and bring in my therapy dog, for a few minutes to also get out the message about what I am trying to accomplish":
