Monday, 1/30: Jess Adams' College Planning Work AND Time to Read the Stranger!

Dear students,
Even though the woman before you this morning has curly brown hair, don't be fooled. She is not me!  I am, contrary to popular opinion, not here.  Where am I?  En route back from my good friend's wedding in Palm Springs, CA-- the land of golf carts, retirement homes, an excessive amount of manicured lawns an a dearth of rain by which to water aforementioned lawns.

Don't fret!  I won't make you do extra work while I recover from a weekend of sitting by a pool and shopping for my future retirement home.  Rather, you'll get to have some quality time with Jess Adams to prepare for college (I should mention here that attending college just  might ultimately allow you to shop for your own retirement home one day!) and then have a class period to get some much needed reading done!

AGENDA
3rd period:  Jess Adams and College counseling stuff
4th period:  

1. In groups  of 3-5, summarize the plot of The Stranger up to Part 2, chapter 3.  Then, discuss your reactions to the book so far and come up with a list of 3-5 questions that you have for me/the class about the novel.   Write them on the whiteboard!!
2. Read The Stranger  or if you are in honors, work on your seminar prep on Cat's Cradle, which is due tomorrow!
